Our Therapies

dls therapies

Occupational Therapy (OT) is designed to provide assessment and a range of therapeutic interventions for adults/children who have a complex, severe or enduring physical and/or developmental conditions, that are significantly affecting their ability to achieve their full potential.

OT interventions often look at developing the person’s skills, provide environmental adaptations or breaking down the task to increase occupational participation and performance.

DLS Therapies works with adults/children who have mental and/or physical difficulties which prevent them from carrying out everyday tasks effectively. OT input combines clinical experience, knowledge and insight, alongside therapeutic approaches, to help improve the adult’s/child’s performance in the following three key areas:

  • Self-care (washing, dressing, eating, toileting)
  • Productivity (paid/voluntary work)
  • Leisure (preferred activities engagement)
