“My twin boys both live at Meyrick Cottage and Meyrick Lodge. I could not be happier for them both, they are both so happy. They have come on so much with their independence. The staff are so lovely, you can see how much they all love helping and working with my boys. They still come home to us every other weekend. But sometimes I feel they love being at the Cottage and Lodge so much they’d rather be there than home. The homes are so homely, safe and such a happy place for my boys to be. They are always doing so much with them. Also, lots of everyday life skill activities like, going food shopping, bus rides, days out, weekends away, going to hair dressers to have their hair cut, clothes shopping. After years of struggling on my own with my boys, it’s such a joy and relief to see them so safe and happy at Meyrick Cottage and Lodge, I can 100% say they are meeting all my boys needs and more. I feel so grateful and lucky for my boys.”

“I have worked alongside both residential services and supported living for approximately 7 years. During this time, I have supported the transition for a number of very complex individuals, from children’s social care, in to their adult placement, with Developing Lives Services. I have received a supportive, professional service and have felt confident in their ability to support young people with a complex, often challenging presentation, and have felt confident in their ability to make this work.”

“The Support Workers and Managers have always gone above and beyond and advocate for the voice, thoughts and feelings for their Service Users. The staff support the Service Users in line with the support they require and they create goals and plans to help better independence for them for their future.”

“We have been impressed with the caring nature of the staff and the lovely relationship he has with his main carers: DLS provide a broad range of activities and experiences. Manage our sons medical and behavioural issues whilst maintaining good communication”
